A quick note...

To precede my first “technical” post I'd like to mention something that I intend to do with this blog… get you reading the documentation for what you're doing. I'll try to provide as many links to actual/additional documentation as I can, but I'd like to avoid recreating steps and documentation that already exists. This isn't because I want you the reader to spend countless hours understanding every minute detail of what you're using, it's because documentation changes. There are too many blogs out there filling up the internet with old and bad advice and instructions, these instructions might have been relevant and correct at the time, but because one aspect of a project they're talking about changed years after they wrote a post, you as the reader get stuck trying to figure out where things went wrong. Admittedly, this makes it more difficult for some readers to follow along, and we'll see how it goes as the blog progress, but I want to make sure that anyone reading what I wrote years from now isn't blindly following an outdated step-by-step that I provided.
